I bought new rain boots a few weeks ago since my old pair started letting in rain at the heal.

I love them but sort of thought that my purchase was a bit out of season as I don't mind the occasional wet flip-flops in the summer. Alas, it's been raining with highs of temperatures like 61. It's too cold to let my bare feet get wet, so I've been wearing a lot of my boots. I'm starting to resent them. I didn't want it to be this way.

Since we're leaving for our trip to Illinois this week, I've been tracking the weather out there and it's a dream compared to Boston.
